I hate the word "webinar". It sounds like a piano falling five stories onto pavement. But sadly, it is a real and widely used English word.
So here's my attempt find alternatives.
So here's my attempt find alternatives.
- Webtalk
- Binar (Web log -> weblog -> blog, Web seminar -> webinar -> binar)
- Reminar (Remote seminar?)
- Electure (e-lecture, like electronic lecture, but first syllable like "election")
- Caplet (Captured lecture, for lecture capture, i.e. recording and streaming lectures)

Cloud conference?
Perhaps siminar or simsem (for simulated seminar)?
I think unfortunately that if webinar is in the OED, it's already too late and we're stuck with this neologism.
